What does unmarked mean? Does that impact the value?

Some of these are marked in Nepali across the top of the blade with unit name and prob manufacturing location. I'll take some pics of mine when I get home...

As to value, any military blade showing any manner of unit marking, date, or manufacturer will up the price. However, $50 for a 100+ year old military-issue Kukri is a steal any day of the week, in my book.

Don't forget the Oaks Show on Oct 6-7 and 8th. A lot of military surplus there, including knives and bayonets.

Remember if you unsheath it, it must draw blood before you can put it back.

I have never used a "real" kukri but love the design. The Ontario and Ka-Bar models are both well made carbon blades and great for chopping tasks. It's really a workhorse that can replace both a large knife and a small hatchet. I'd love an original made from leaf springs, kind of glad the sale ended because I really don't need three of them.
