I've got the Ak itch

Well as the title says I'm looking into purcashing an "ak" and am currently weighing my options. The veprs have caught my eye but the rules that come along with them I'm not too sure of. From what I understand the 7.62 x 39 has to keep that thumbhole stock ( not a fan) but the 54r is fine to keep the folder? The 7.62 x 39 is a bit more appealing due to the price per round but I just can't get over that stock. Are there better options out there for us mders? Would you just snag the 54r if you had the chance?

There's a remedy for that.

You can get an AK pistol and put a brace on it.

Or make a AK pistol into an SBR.

Haven't researched too much on that route but definitely an option.

Think 5.45 solves most problems.

Depends on the gun check out the MDSP list https://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organizati...armSearch.aspx

Lots of 5.45 sort of AK style rifles are ok. The other option is a VZ58 totally different heritage but in every functional respect a superior firearm.

Ah okay. The vz58 is definitely my back up plan.

I went with both a Zastava M90NP and a Gen1 Century C39 AK Pistol. I'm trying to decide if I want a Yugo or Draco pistol next.
