The wife and I saw a hurt Great Dane in the area between Clements and chaptico. It had been hit by a car. We followed it into a guys yard and into his garage. It was not his dog. The cops were there and said they would have animal control take it to a vet.

It was a nice dog and I am sure the owners are worried

If it’s your dog call the st Mary’s Sherri dept

I believe deputy krumm was the cops name

And if it’s someone on here or someone you know I would would do what I can to help with the vet bill, my wife and I love dogs and never want to see one suffer just because of money

Horrible to hear this. I hope the dog is ok and gets reconnected with its family. I have two Great Danes and would also be willing to help with the vet bill if needed.

Just saw him on the Tri county animal shelter site. Cast on his leg and looks good

No micro chip so in three days I would hope someone will grab him up

Glad he survived, Great Danes aren't the most robust of dogs.
Hope someone claims him... I've had several of these big gentle creatures over the years.

They won't immediately put him down if no one claims him, will they?

Since they went to the trouble to fix and cast his leg I don’t think so. For being hit by a car he was quite the gentleman.

Well they pulled his pic from the shelter site and I believe that means he was either picked up by his owner or adopted!!!

I was on the site after I had read your post a couple hours ago and didn't see him on there. I was hoping the same thing, either the owners found him or he was adopted out to a good family.
