Oh look, a "how to buy an NFA item" article, how original. SGnews has run that about 4 times now. Or "New AR now in 7.36 Magnadoodle". How about "all the Knives you want that cost more than 200 each".

    Other possible article titles/ headlines.

    "the $100,000 bugout truck"
"airgunning, for the 20 people who do that"
"guns that were forgotten because they were boring"
    "Throwing P-Mags at things"
"9mm or 45, who really cares anymore?"
    "The minigun you can't buy"
"Why you pay for textured pages"
    "Now with more BCM stickers"
"Fred's obsession with couches and sinking ships"
"polymer guns that look and shoot similar"
"Why plastic AR uppers deserve to go in the trash"
"who is paying for WWI helmets to be reproduced?"
"Why a free copy of 'Enemy at the Gates' should not be a deciding factor in buying an overpriced mosin"
    "Fear-mongering for sales"
"NFA for profit, now with airplanes"
"How to hobby gunsmith an AK, with only a drill press, lathe, milling machine, and entire machine shop"
"Glock model 54, now with fewer new ideas"
    "Survival advice for yuppies"
"scopes that cost more then your car"
    "ATN, are YOU rich enough?"
"Money that could be spent on ammo"
"Now costs as much as real magazines"

Hey! You forgot "Magnum Power, How Elmer Keith's Flatulence Birthed the Magnum Pistol Cartridge"

Has been going on for some time, especially in grocery stores and convenience stores. Heck I've seen places that carry porn but not gun magazines. I continue to support publishers through direct subscriptions.

My local Royal Farm Store is like that ... But I only buy them (and the gun mags) for the articles. :innocent0

Here's the arundel mills Walmart today. Only saw recoil on the shelves....and someone hid it behind an entertainment magazine. I may have done some reorganizing to ensure recoil was more visible.

Two weeks ago there were quite a few (ten maybe) mags at Giant but all of a sudden poof. The manager there is pretty hot so further investigation may be necessary. :innocent0

Not at Giant on 41st in 21211. Noticed about 2 months ago.

Not interested in paying $8 for a mag that tells me their opinion on a gun they are also advertising elsewhere in the magazine.

How do we let the distributor know we are pissed, stop buying any magazines? I'm way ahead of you there.

    I get in the mail:
    American Rifleman
    Gun Tests
    IDPA Tactical Journal

Hey, I get two out of three of those in the mail!

I enjoy the Gun Tests articles, and thought about subscribing at least to their online content.

Anymore there are so many videos, reviews and free online content, I only really need the magazines for bathroom reading, or to give away after flipping through it.

You can subscribe for $8.00 per year. Who buys one at a time?

I agree, it is much cheaper for me to subscribe to the magazines that I like reading. I get a few of them including Guns and Ammo, delivered each month both in print and to my iPad. I don't recall the last time I actually bought a magazine at a grocery store!

Nevertheless, if 2A related magazines are selectively disappearing off the shelves, then something definitely smells fishy.

This might also be a reason to write to the publishers themselves.

google is your friend, I am not.
Finally made it to the store (I don't make it to the store unless I feel the need to get my skull drilled with no pain killers).

Here in the heart of Columbiastan I saw two gun rags and four hunting mags on the shelf. Six more than I actually expected! At the same eye level as Frosted Flakes, conveniently for the children! who woulda thunk?

I think firearms rags are disappearing because of the interwebs like most things. Before all my purchases, I read online reviews and videos. MDS naturally is my only news source, who needs a magazine? Shelf space cost $$, I will not be surprised to see the entire rack removed in 10 years.

Here's the selection at the Eldersburg Martin's yesterday. Looks normal to me.
