Is there a minimum length upper for MD for an AR pistol? Can you do the 7 inch ones? or only 10.5? I'm not seeing that info anywhere. Thanks for any help!

No rules for barrel length on a pistol. Go with what you like. 10.5" seems to be the sweet spot but you know how opinions are, mine included. And that said, I'm starting a 12.5" soon. 7" is the shortest that most guys go and likely the shortest that you can get as an off the shelf length.
I was waiting for someone to jump on that.
When she jumped on it, she was disappointed.

For Pistol you * May* use any bbl length.
If looking for recomendation of what you * should* use , 10.5in , 11.5in even better for reasons of reliability.. Unless you really, really want an extra short on purpose , at the expense of practicality .

I think actual minimum would be around 4” to fit a gas block on there. Not sure you could really get it to function.
But if you could, if you miss your target, you’ll stun it with concussion so you have an easy follow-up.

thanks for the responses guys...was looking at the 7.5-8's ..but seems like the consensus is that they have some reliability issues...so maybe i will start looking at 10.5's now....

On that 2 inch AR am I imagining things or can you see the tip of the bullet sticking out the end of the "Barrel"
