Got real lucky and found these with some very good prices, the M27 needs a stock repair but was well worth the price i paid. enjoy..

First up..
1942 Sk.y with 42 stock

Nice on all counts! The '42 SKY is amazing. Can't wait to see how the M27 stock repair turns out.

Thanks man, I already have a nice 43 Sk.y so this is a great score for me. On the broken one Im thinking that once i get the stock off i will try to spread the crack a bit and use a needle to try and get some tight bond in there, then clamp for a few days and then once that sets i will prob drill and use some sort of pin. maybe something like This

I watched a old timer on you tube use a very little bit of water in the crack first he said it would draw the glue into the crack

Honestly i wasn't even expecting these rifles to pop up.I find that when ever i really really shouldn't spend any money on guns.. BAM there is like good deal after good deal . :lol2:

And when i say good deal.. I mean i paid less for the 3 than classic wants for 2

This is how it often goes. A dry spell and then whamo, the flood gates open and lots of goodies pop up. I learned to try and take advantage when I can and not hesitate if possible. You can't let a good deal pass you by (3 for the price of 2 is classic good deal IMHO). Besides, I've noticed over decades of collecting that Sept thru Nov can be a fruitful time for bargain hunting. Lots of collections come up for sale before the holidays. The closer to Christmas, usually the better the bargains as some look to raise cash. To quote Billy Ray Valentine from the holiday "classic" Trading Places...

Yep, I try not to pass up the good prices /deals, and or the good additions at fair pricing. I kept looking at the Sk.y and and then back at the tag and trying to figure out what was wrong with it, then when i picked up the next one i realized they were all under priced. I actually left a Sako there that was 300 cause i already have 3 of those. I called my buddy and gave him the shop name and he went and got that Sat morning. I have found that in the collecting community its always good to have real friends and take care of each other.

Airborne Trooper would have a better answer, ‘44 is the least common year, followed by ‘42 and then ‘43. I need a ‘43. I’d say that they are all pretty rare.
