Is this a Glock vs. SIG thing?
Nope, that could only happen if Sig had a comparable polymer striker fired pistol, but since they don't...

Just kidding, Sig makes good guns. In this case the desire to win and keep government contracts exceeded the desire to immediately address a serious safety flaw they must have known about for some time.

Hey Sig, Your gun fires when dropped or tapped with a mallet. Next day, Sig announces a fix. Pretty telling.

    Maybe at least a little.
There has been a lot of internet fodder thrown at Glock for posting ad that poked fun at Sig for the issue.

Naturally fan boys of each brand have traded barbs over it.

    (I'm admittedly a Glock guy)
I'll admit that I'm a SIG guy, but not a fanboy (you're not a Glock fanboy). I pick up a SIG and I don't have to work to shoot it accurately. My wife picks up a Glock, and omg, despite all of my practice, she can still hit any target anywhere. I hand her my SIG and I have to do a facepalm. The same is true when I shoot her Glock. SIGs work for me, Glocks work for her. I get it.

Thank goodness this new military standard pistol is receiving this much scrutiny!

I'm still clinging to my SIG P228 West German relic. It works for me.

I love the 320 and had been recommending it to others for a year now. Can't right now until this is all sorted

I submitted both of mine last night. It seems like they are going to repair them in the order they were submitted.

The troublemakers over at Omaha did a follow-up video and dropped a ton of guns the same way as they did the 320.
None fired; including the 1911 and a 30-year old Glock.

    Glock haters BTFO, lol.

Good to know. I was wondering about this.
