Nice XP! I've always wanted one, but never made the jump. I have a 10" Contender in .221 with a 2.5-8x EER.

Thanks, You have some nice "toys" also. Investments is how I justify my spending. Have been doing alot of reading about various .260's though.

You got the standard octagon or bull barrel one? Started to "dig" out some of mine and take pictures / inventory what I do have scattered around. Old age, you know.
Contenders we will not go there, they are "nice" also, barrels ranging from 10" .22lr - 14" .35 Rem. 14"- 45-70. My favorites are the 10" bull barrel .30 Herrett with a 4x EER, then the .357 Herrett with a 2x EER. At linganore range I would turn heads when lighting one off at 50 yard targets back in those days. Yeah I had more money than brains but like you said been doing this for a while. I would go from rifles,to handguns, from mild to wild, and contender barrels the UPS driver loved me.

Thanks for my daily dose of depression guys...:( think I'm gonna go stroke the 3 rifles in my dwindling collection before I find a belt, and the sturdiest ceiling fan I have...

Only the police and military should have ceiling fans.

    Decidedly "Old School....."

    1905 mfg. 1903 Springfield

She started out life as a rod-bayonet 1903 in 30-'03. At some point, she was reworked into the '03 in 30-'06 that we've come to know and love....

    Really low number:

    a lil jealous

You'll really hate me when I tell you she was $225 out-the-door from Atlantic Guns in Rockville circa 2000.

I'm thinking of cooking up some very light gallery-type loads just so I can have a bit of fun with her. Maybe 3-grs of Bullseye under a cast .32 ACP bullet.

    I loves me my Springfields.
