Not in Maryland, so thanks for letting me join the forum. For the intents & purposes of me being a member here, I guess you could call me a Beretta collector.

I'm looking for information or leads on a rare Beretta model, that AFAIK was exclusively issued to Montgomery County PD officers around the turn of the century. In Beretta terminology it would be known as a 92D Brigadier, i.e. a DAO version of the popular 9mm but with a heavier slide, dovetailed front & rear sights and no external safety.

My understanding is that MCPD under Chief Moose replaced them with Glocks in the early 2000s, but I am unsure of where they went.....it doesn't seem like ~1000 of them made it to the used market as police trades.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Being it's MoCo , good chance they were melted , to prevent them from turning up back on the streets .

( No , this is NOT a joke. This is how Md politicians actually think .)

Welcome to the forum , should be able to find something on-line . Maybe even contact Beretta for information .
Yes I'm thinking the same way.....maybe they were scrapped by the county, or returned to Beretta and scrapped by them. But maybe some Officers got to keep or buy their standard issue, and could be persuaded to part with it for the right price :)

    Welcome!
When someone says "Turn of the century," I still think 1900. LOL

Cool, I had no idea there was a DAO model.

I got no intel for you. But, my 92 is used by way of Maryland State Police. Even has two "For LEO use only" mags. I like a gun with some history.
