I certainly would not use it, good financial climate, or no.

I do, however, know some folks (one of whom is a recent customer I sent your way) who have reasons to 'need' a gun in their hands as soon as possible, and would probably use it.

I just happen not to agree that's good finances for a lot of those folks (and I was one, back when).

i think its great to give customers as many reasonable options as possible for them to give your their money for your products and services. I personally would not use the service, but I am sure many people would find it useful.

    go to town and prosper

We had another company contact us for the same thing a while ago, but the interest rates started at 29.99%. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! That's HORRIBLE to do that to people. And the keyword is "started"...LOL

This company is very upfront with costs and fees. 15% for 12 months of financing is not all that bad. Considering the average credit card rate is a hair over 15% (revolving interest as opposed to simple interest), it's a pretty good deal for those that want to use it. We wanted to make sure we found a company that wouldn't rape people with interest rates or fees.

It's actually not Tyler's Firearms issue. It is the issue for the company providing the credit. I'm pretty certain it will be treated more like a personal loan...not a 'secured loan'.

    I'm sure you're right about that. I imagine that would make a good TV show though;

    "Gun Repo Man"!
They would give Lizard Lick a run for their money!

Dawg the Bounty Hunter would be off the air.

That would make a good show, though. Huge chance for gun fights... LMAO

 You guys have no idea how many boob jobs are financed this way. None of them get repossessed.
If you think Tylers is making a mistake, then you must be against bigger boobs.

Can I think Tylers is not making a mistake and still "be against" bigger boobs?

    I've done it.

I went to grabagun.com and they had shoot now pay later. They used a military lender and the interest was not that bad. They ran a quick credit check and I got the loan. Sometimes money is tight and you can only afford a little at a time not sure why that's a crime? I think protecting your family is money well spent.:)

I read the fine print a while ago. The rates were good but the fees were horrible. They may have changed it, though.

This is a great idea for Maryland residents, the average person has to shell out cash for the HQL, fingerprints and class room training, then all the fun stuff like ammo, safe, carry bag, more ammo and their all ready out about $1000. Most things in life for the average person are financed anyway, house, car and sometimes furniture and appliances. So I don't really see a problem with financing a 50 caliber Barrett and a couple of Scars : )

We were planning on doing a complete package deal on HQL, handgun, cleaning supplies, a case, a gun safe, etc. for new shooters. Everything included, easy monthly payments.

That's a little harsh. I could see if I was actively seeking people who can't afford to buy my products and telling them they "have" to buy now. Offering another method of payment is hardly making money off of poor people. Its not like we're doing payday loans. Now THAT'S making money off of poor people. If its profitable, I'll do it. That's the whole point of being in business.

I was being serious. taking advantage of poor people is an excellent way to make a living. Capitalism at its finest, you give them what they want but can't afford. 100% serious, I am in favor of you doing this.

If someone says "I can't afford it but can I finance it?". Hell yeah, I'll do that all day long. I'm not their mother, nor their accountant... LOL

    Business is business.
