What do you think of my first stock re-finishing project?

I detailed the sides of the stock with some pyrography (wood burning).

When staining it, I kept the stain lighter around the eagle and the patriot so they would stand out a little more.

I might be looking for some business in the future. Right now if anyone has an old gun with a wood stock that they would let me practice on I would be up for that. You can pick some designs, Ill do the first few for free till I get good enough to charge.

It may be the photography, but I think the lighter stain aspect looks better on the patriot than on the eagle. I'd skip it if it were my gun. But the workmanship is very solid.
