Our first Progressive POTUS showed how nullifying the 1st amendment could be done.

In true Progressive fashion, he decided that everyone must comply with his vision, for the good of the Nation.

This article in the Smithsonian describes it well; people who think this sort of infringement is new might be surprised.

"Make the world safe for democracy" by turning the republic into a dictatorship has always been the go-to solution for the Left.

Not that it really matters, but Teddy Roosevelt was our first Progressive POTUS.

    Thanks for the correction.

Do you have any info regarding anti-BoR actions he may have taken?

The longest standing impact President Teddy had on us (IMHO) was creating that entity known as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1906. It's definitely anti-liberty. One can argue anti First Amendment effects of the FDA.

lots of hate for TR. He did do some good things too imo.

Agree. A number of his actions were undertaken to redress serious issues.

I have no problem with national parks. it's not like the country was, or is, running out of land.
