About 300 students left class and walked outside at Perry Hall High School, according to WBAL.
[Perry Hall HS has a student population of 2,300. Something not mentioned in the article for obvious reasons]

Reminds me a lot of the MMomM back in 2,000 were organizers on the far left duped the school systems into donating tens of thousands of dollars in the form of school bus transportation for the general public for an event billed to recognize mothers day, Bring you kids, picnic, free concerts, free carnival rides for the kids on the national mall. A celebration of motherhood and family. Only for most of them to realize they had been lied to and deceived to create the illusion that this gun control rally they had just stepped into was a popular opinion. It was NOT!, and people were pissed! They had just been ambushed and many left in disgust. The majority were stuck there due to the buses. The organizers claimed turnout was around 750,000 but the park service stopped doing crowd counts after being threatened to be sued by the organizers of the MManMarch a few years earlier. These park service counts were based on aerial photography and professional aerial imagery analysts. One other note is the presence of signs. If they are all the same and professionally produced, handed out at the door. It's astroturf. Look for handmade ones. For the walkout, it's really obvious if you look through pics that someone said "anyone with a homemade sign, get over here for a photo-op" They might get 20-30. In other pics of the same crowd with the signs spread out over 2-300 ppl, they are sparse. That gives you a good idea of true support.

So anyway, they tried to do it again the next year. Attendance dropped from a claimed 750,000 to 200. Let me repeat that, TWO HUNDRED! They didn't even try for a number of years after that but are back at it. Note the generational hop and peoples memories. Different life phases now than the people that got screwed 18 years ago. Wash, rinse, repeat.

    Look at the signs:

But this is what the far left does, to advance their agenda: Lie, cheat, steal, deceive, manipulate, bait and switch.

    Crowd size
Because of the name of the event, the number of attendees was a primary measure of its success and estimating the crowd size, always a contentious issue reached new heights in bitterness.[24] March organizers estimated the crowd size at between 1.5 to 2 million people but were incensed when the United States Park Police officially estimated the crowd size at 400,000. Farrakhan threatened to sue the National Park Service because of the low estimate from the Park Police.

Three days after the march, Dr. Farouk El-Baz, director of the Center for Remote Sensing at Boston University (note uni historical bias and prof surname) released a controversial estimate of 870,000 people with a margin of error of 25 percent, meaning that the crowd could have been as small as 655,000 or as large as 1.1 million.[25] It later revised that figure to 837,000, with a 20% margin of error (669,600 to 1,004,400).[24]

The Park Service never retracted its estimate.[24]

After the Million Man March, the Park Police ceased making official crowd size estimates. Roger G. Kennedy, the Director of the National Park Service, said that his agency planned to study the possibility of no longer counting crowds, noting that most organizations that sponsor large events complain that Park Service estimates are too low

There's a very good way of telling the difference between a leftist rally and one from conservatives. Leftist rallies and demonstrations are full of people who take no pride in their appearance or cleanliness, are rude, disrespectful, destructive and leave tons of trash behind. Conservative groups are generally well dressed, show respect, don't destroy anything and clean up behind themselves when they leave. Without any other information you can look at the grounds after a group leaves and you can tell which side of the political fence they're on. The media doesn't bother to show that.

Another way to tell the difference between leftist and conservative rallies: the lefty ones get major coverage in the media. The conservative rallies get little or no coverage,

Most US gun ownership is inherently confidential. the gun control lobby knows this and exploits it by quoting surveys on "gun ownership rates" when the science shows these are vast undercounts.

The media and people like school teachers are either a) complete morons not to know it is highly confidential, or; b) know it and exploit it as well.

A kid in a class in rural Pennsylvania or Wyoming may stand up for the Second amendment, but a kid in Washington DC, California, Maryland, NJ, NY, has very likely been told by their parents to never signal anything to anyone that might indicate there is a firearm in their household. My kids have been so instructed.

The entire "children crusade" protest against the Second Amendment is an obscene exercise in "group-think" right out of Orwell, and led by teachers who are authority figures abusing their positions. It is no exasperation nor hyperbole to note this is directly out of the Young Communist or Nazi Youth Movement playbook. Kid are desperate to fit in, be in what they consider the norm.

Given the suspension of kids for 100% legally going to the range, and probably a million subtle double-standard microaggressions, this children Crusade is the perfect tactic to shred the constitution. It is sick. But it is a very effective strategy.

Most Conservatives are "Thinking and Judgmental", over "Feeling and Perceiving". To that end there are much fewer Conservative type demonstrations, because they are typically not effective, and take massive numbers of demonstrators to even start being so. On both sides, demonstrations typically draw the 10% fringe. If demonstrations are diminutive, they become more a side show for the 80% and a real kick for the opposing 10% fringe to bang on. MOAR was a good example of that. You had the fringe of the fringe come out, the other fringe laughing and 80% probably saying "what's a MOAR?" Other examples are the pickets in front of Deli's serving meat, or the women crying at trees. PETA has for years been making the media, and Billboards and what have they gained? Remember Occupy Wall Street? Today with social media and news so diversified, thousands of outlets, any splash in the media is good for 15 minutes. Look at Hogg and CNN. After Saturday, perhaps a month after, you think anyone will be talking any longer about Hogg?

One day after DJT was inaugurated, look at the mass that demonstrated against him. He is still President, his approval rating miraculously isn't too bad yet you had 100's of thousands trying to convince the 80% otherwise. Soon we will have a predicted 100's of thousands against the NRA in DC. When you get great numbers, it mobilizes the base, but changes few to any opposing the positions. What is fascinating about "these kids" coming to DC, don't you see it? It's all the 60's kids that demonstrated, now living vicariously through these kids!!! It is where they are getting their great support from.

The Tea Party was a great phenomenon because it rallied Conservative fringe to vote in primaries, and being those polls get incredibly miserable turnout, had an incredible impact. The Tea Party woke up a demographic in the Republican party and moved them to vote. That was an anomaly, (which I'll admit I attended) a focused demonstration inside a political party.
