Any of the original USGI mags are good. I've also found the Taiwanese mags (unmarked, light greenish gray park) work as well as USGI mags.

Whatever you get, NEVER get the after market mags with raised bosses on the spine instead of the little welded plate.

I did not know about checkmate. Apparently they made them for the USG. They appear competitive and they make a 25 round magazine.

Checkmate is the best. I believe they make them for .gov and for Springfield. I picked up some black parkerized Korean mags from Duffy's for $20 each which work just fine. I guess that gets best bang for buck but the Checkmates are not much more expensive.

Yeah, I got my Checkmates for around $22 each. $25 seems to be the normal going price for the 20 rounders.

I don't think so. That's a good idea, though.

You might want to mention them.












Last time I looked, SAI had the magazines for TWICE the price of anyone else that carries 'em.

44mag dot com used to have them for around $20-$22 each.
