Recently acquired a Colt 45 New Service made in 1900. Bluing about 50%, no pitting in barrel. Wondering if pistol would be safe to fire with modern ammo. Also does anyone have any idea what it is worth?

Picked one up with maybe 40% blue, overhauled by gunsmith, ran 500. non-original stocks. I was thinking of having it Fitz'd.
