The Son fought for Mosby's Raiders. His mother turned the mansion in to a confederate sanctuary and supply house. Tear it down?

btw isn't big part of Rt50 in Virginia marked John Mosby Highway?

Guess that has to go too..

These days it has to be fast and with lots drama. No public discussion or democratic principles either. "Tearing it down" just won't work.

The ferry at White's Ferry is named the General Jubal Early, who is known for penetrating further into DC than any other Confederate General. He got as far as Fort Stevens near GA Ave. and Mo. Ave.

Guess these all have to go now too.

    More liberal lunacy

The Ferry is also where the confederate monument from the Rockville courthouse is now displayed.

There's still the Surratt House and Museum in Clinton. Some group has got to be offended.

Don't forget the Dr Mudd place.

Oh, but popular myth is that Dr Mudd was innocent, even though he met Booth at the Catholic Church and up at Surratt's rooming house.

One of my ancestors crossed the Potomac from MD and fought the entire war as a member of Early's Maryland Cavalry and survived. I think most of the other members of the family were well off enough to pay the $300 bounty to have somebody else serve in the Union forces instead of them. Some members had married into prominent families in VA by the early 1700's.
