Honestly it looks better than my field grade. And I'm not surprised by that, they all seem very nice.

Should be able to get grab it by the end up the week. In FFL jail. Colt frame and Ithaca slide. Appears to not have been refinished which is what I was hoping for. Augusta Arsenal mark as well. Serial # puts it at 1943. Anymore info by the experts would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas & happy new year everyone.

I have yet to see any CMP 1911's that are beaters. All of them look great, esp. for their age.

Which FFL are you guys using? I submitted paperwork and should be called in a few weeks. On the paperwork I submitted, I listed MSAR as the FFL because I was able to purchase a C&R handgun from them before and I don’t have my HQL. The transfer fee at MSAR is $100. I was hoping when the CMP calls I can tell them to use another FFL that is both cheaper and has no issues dealing with non-HQL holders. It would be good if it was a FFL they have used before too. I am in Crofton so someplace in central Maryland would be good.

I use Zink Arms, in Perry Hall, his transfer fee is $55. I'm hoping to hear from the CMP in the next week or 2.

Central MD? Like Frederick?
Try GunRunners on Patrick Street.
Reasonable transfer prices. Super nice guy.
I have used him for years. He transferred my CMP 1911.

I used Tylers in Halethorpe, they charged me $25 plus MSP fee ($10). They are fantastic and shouldn't be far from you

I finally got the E Mail yesterday. My rack grade is on it's way

Got to visit it this afternoon.

Colt Frame, Remington Rand slide.
I'm pretty happy with it.

My wife got her call today RNG 28,7XX only choices were Field or Rack she chose Field same as mine so now each grandson will have something to inherit.

They must be picking up the pace.

Four co-workers have either received their 1911s or received the email in the past few weeks, each about a week apart.

Three had no option but to take a rack grade, one was asked if they wanted to upgrade to a field grade. They have all been Remingtons.

I do not know their numbers.
