I have line of sight on three high quality billet lower receivers (stripped) for a very small price. If I register them as a rifle is it cash and carry for all three or do I have to go through the application process and pick one up every month?
If they are multi caliber standard AR15 lowers they are subject to the same 7 day wait as a handgun. I believe they are filed as an other on the 4473. I don’t think there is any other paperwork but I could be wrong.
If it is an AR-15 lower it is a 77r and 4473 and 2 in 60 days or 1 per 30. Unless you’ve got a designated collectors license. Then you can get all at once.
7-day waiting period though.
You don’t need an HQL.
If the receiver can be built in to a banned enumerated firearm or a cops of a banned enumerate firearm or if it is the frame of what is normally a handgun MSPs guidance for FFLs is that it must go through a 77r and 7 day wait. You can still build it in to whatever it legally is. So if it was an other or pistol it can be built as a pistol or rifle. If it was a rifle then just a rifle.
How it transfers on the 4473 doesn’t matter to MSP.
This is why an AR-15 receiver is a on a 77r and an AR-10 receiver isn’t.
