I had 2 roof fans installed and need them wired to the panel. I was going to do it but it requires MC cable. I have the 20A breaker for the panel. Job is in Middletown, MD.

This is a cake job. I don't have the mc cable cutter and don't feel real comfortable opening up the panel. Go across the attic and down through an existing opening in the ceiling down to the panel. Probably about a 50-60 ft run. I've already joined the fans into a junction box but used nm cable. I'm not sure if that should be replaced with mc. Is mc for impact protection or something else?
