I've always had a soft spot for anything in "classic" genre of guns. All mine are wood stocked, old-school lever guns, single shots, revolvers, and so on. What I don't have is classic looking SxS shotgun. I don't shoot shotguns much; just a couple rounds of informal clays a year. I am well aware that SxS are not the ideal platform for clays, but clearly I'm not gonna be shooting competition.

So, I'd love to find a sweet little 20 gauge SxS that is fun to handle and shoot a few times a year but won't break the bank. I know $1000-1500 isn't a big budget for this genre, but it's what I can swing (ha! heh....cough...ahem).

I've seen the CZ Ringneck and Sharptails. They look really nice. Anyone got experience with one or other suggestions?

I have been considering a SxS for a little while as well. The CZ ringneck is beautiful.

Last year Cabela’s had the CZ Teal on black Friday for $550. It seems they run this Cabela’s exclusive gun on sale a few times a year. It’s an OU but it's also a lot less than you’re looking to spend.

If you decide to go 12 ga, I have an SKB 385 I would be willing to let go in your price range. Single trigger, ejectors and choke tubes...26" barrels.

Those are pretty nice, but I'm pretty committed to the 20g idea at this time.

OBTW - I was in the same boat you were and was not going to spend over $1500 and ended up spending about $2000 when it was said and done (extra chokes, nice padded case, etc).
