Thank you Art for asking about details of how this should work. I apologize for the delay, but playing catch up like a boss.

Please make your check or US Postal Service Money Order in my name--Jeff Hulbert--and write LEGAL DEFENSE FUND

Any chance of a GoFundMe page? I understand PayPal is a no go...

R&R Arrested at March On NRA

Paypal and GoFundMe are not options because each of their policies unfortunately could be interpreted to prohibit this type of fundraising (ie any activity that violates any law...).

It would not help anyone to have donations seized and another legal fight.

Do me a favor and write a check, get a money order from 7-11 or just send cash in a folded up piece of paper if you must, but stop complaining and lend a fellow patriot a hand.

I am in for $100 to start.

Counsel may want to subpoena all the Fairfax County PD video, but that may well necessitate a continuance of the trial date because it will be voluminous.

I am keeping my schedule open since I had first hand conversations with the Captain about his “rules,” with the County Executive about the unconstitutional nature of separate but equal/different public squares for the various groups, the Lt. about the modified rules, witnessed the arrest and the other protestors being escorted by the “crossing guards,” and the Capt.’s admission regarding disparate treatment.

Ironically, not three minutes after the arrest the FCPD let three of the Marchers back over to their side after then had already crossed to our side.

When the marchers initially attempted to go back across we reminded the police that they had already crossed once and they held them up. Then another officer let them go. At the end of the video the FCPD Captain came over and told us that they had made a mistake.

These fat-bellied cops, who are legends in their own minds, are disgraceful. ALL fat-bellied cops are disgraceful and self-aggrandizing. Obviously the "captain" disagreed with their "grand-standing".

Criticizing “politicized policing” is at the foundation of my case.

Please refrain from personal appearance epithets about the cops. They look like every one of us who is not a cop.

I am honored to have firearms trainer and respected MSI board member Cypherpunk acting as my trustee for this fundraising.

The easiest way to help is to write a personal check or purchase a US Postal Money Order and make it out to Jeff Hulbert, with "Legal Defense Fund" in the memo section.

You can PM him for more info, or just send your much-needed and helpful donation right to his mail drop:

By posting notice of your contribution to this thread first, you are helping with the fundraising momentum needed for one guy to go up against the unlimited resources of the people that arrested me.

To those have stepped up already, and to those that will.....Thank you Thank you Thank you!

I made a phone call to FCPD on Monday morning to inquire about the parameters of the Marchers' permit and was directed to Lt. Becker (who made the arrest on R&R) and left him a voice mail. After receiving no return call I left him another voice mail on Tuesday afternoon.

About 30 mins after that Major Gun Lee, who we spoke to early in the day on Sat, called me back and gave me the low down on the whole situation. He said that they had applied to VDOT for a street closure permit and were denied, but when he heard how many people were expected HE made the decision to close down the road and separate groups of protesters from each other.

It is such a good thing that he did that. :sarcasm: After all, all those videos show you guys and the antis having a knock-down, drag-out brawl before the road closure time rolled around. :sarcasm: And I am sure that you guys who later went to eat in the same restaurant as some of the antis picked up the bare knuckle brawl right there. :sarcasm: Whoo!!! Crisis and possible massive loss of life averted due to the efforts of Major Lee. :sarcasm:

I hope you legally recorded that phone call.

    I was driving so no.

In my voice mail I referenced doing a FOIA request and the first thing that the Major did was tell me that he wanted to be "transparent" with me but then noted that I was calling from a MD phone number and to submit a VA FOIA request that I would have to be a resident of VA and specifically Fairfax County in this case.

I swept this aside by telling him that if he didn't want to let me know that I could have my MIL file a VA FOIA, lol.

Maj. Lee made the decision to separate the groups but he is not the one who made the decision to illegally arrest a citizen for exercising his 1A right to freedom of association, and feeedom of speech with an arrest based on an act that FCPD had previously said was ok according to the on scene supervisor. (Capt.)

His excuse is even more meaningless since he was not even on scene when Rack was arrested. I know he was there early but left to go to the CP

Both the separation of the groups and Rack’s arrest were illegal

IANAL but I recognize an unconstitutional act when I see it.

Governments have been committing unconstitutional acts, and violating their oaths, for a long time but it is a shame that the innocent taxpayers have to pick up the tab. Part of the reason it happens so frequently is the people in charge get away with paying off with other peoples money.
