Was really praying this Governor as going to be on our side. Prayers obviously didn’t work out lol.

I see this sort of logic on here a lot. It doesn’t show commitment to the cause, it shows ignorance of the political landscape in this state. If this governor was as pro 2a as many on this site want, he wouldn’t be our governor. It’s that simple. Good politicians appeal to the masses and it’s a miracle a Republican could do that in MD at all. I give him credit for wisely picking the battles he can win, and leaving alone those he can’t. Fact is, he IS trying to help change (or at least protect) the 2a landscape. Keeping it as is would be a miracle in the current political climate. And he’s tried with a few vetoes. But we all know hoe that goes. What do you really want him to do, that actually has a prayer of not being rejected by the legislature? Sometimes we have to be ok with protecting what we have and not losing more, than in moving forward. It’s going to take baby steps to make progress on 2a in this state.
