.... on "assault weapons", "high capacity magazines", elimination of the so-called online and gun show "loopholes" and mandate registration of all civilian-owned firearms before summer's end (if not before).

Emboldened by the outrageous and unruly acts of congressional progressives, I believe Annapolis may soon decide it cannot wait for national prohibitions and would therefore move to enact new "common sense gun control" laws on its own, following the Connecticut blueprint. Whether Annapolis will choose to actively pursue the state's new criminal classes remains to be seen.

If they go for it, I guess MD will be next state to see mass non-compliance. Its alright, you guys will not be alone as NY and CT have already gone there.

I can see certain elements wanting to try to pass that. But wouldn't the MGA have to be in session ?

Might happen, might not, but it definitely won't happen by summer's end. The session for this year was over back in early April, and they don't come back until the 2nd week in January for the 2017 session.

Thank goodness they only have 3 months to screw us over instead of the whole year......

Here we go again the opposition does not need ideas or what bothers us.

More productive would be grass roots organizing and working to increase Liberty minded politicians.

It really doesn't matter what Hogan thinks. The Mikes proved last year they will override his vetos.

Democrats demanding gun confiscation should all go on hungers strikes to show the world they're serious. Elected Democrats should refuse to accept their paychecks until they get exactly what they want.

    Behind enemy lines...
The wind will blow and switch directions many times before the MGA is back in session.

Agreed, but the wind seems to be blowing more in one direction than the other...no doubt the MGA will work to continue Dem tactics of capitalizing on terrorist attacks and using dezinformatsiya to re-craft the message in order to weaken Marylander's 2A rights.

Ho-hum... wake me when the shooting starts.

Better yet, when the tarring and feathering of these traitors begins in earnest, with subsequent pillorying and/or hanging by their feet in the public square.

    A traitor deserves a traitor's death, yes?

There is no doubt that this will high on the list of things to accomplish next year. hogan will only fight it if the mike and mike show tell him its ok we have the veto votes. Otherwise he will likely agree and say something to the effect " we need to do something." of course he has so far done nothing so why change?? but this is our state so...
