I understand there is another gun show in Gettysburg this weekend too. Hunters Gun Show located elsewhere in town. Anyone know anything about this one? 80 tables?

Just got back to Davidsonville. The first thing I noticed at the show is that the parking is cut way back as they won't let you park in the grass anymore. Two guys were blocking the road in telling people to park elsewhere and a shuttle bus would take you over. That didn't work for me as I'm sure my wife's wheel chair wouldn't fit so I parked near some loading doors around the side and no one said anything.

There were some good deals to be had in wood and steel rifles but most of the stuff I saw being purchased was plastic. Powder prices were very good, primers were high but last time Cabelas didn't have any so I bought some. Also bought some evil standard capacity pistol mags which I think were priced the same as the internet (if we could get them mailed).

My only complaint was that there wasn't a good selection of personal protection ammo. There were a few people with a couple of boxes of this or that but that was it. I was looking for some of the 20/25 round boxes of different 9mm defensive type ammo and came away with none. There was some Hornady and one box of Federal HST but I already have those.

There were a fair amount of people there but there was enough room to walk without bumping into them. Sorry I can't give you any prices, I don't own a smart phone and don't have a great memory.

I bought a muzzle cover for a Swiss 1911 rifle and ran into some good people including a couple of good guys from this forum.

The only additional comment I can think of is that the room was completely full. The last time I came to this show it was at less than 70% capacity, as far as tables. Only about 1/3 of the left half of the floor was in use.

A few of the added tables were knicknacks and jerky, but there were also more tables of wood-stocked long guns and 1 or two more vendors with large displays of ARs and accessories.

Got home a while ago. Can't add much to what has been reported. I found it kind of low on customers. Got some good ammo deals. There were a number people with reasonably priced evil AR mags, which cannot be purchased within the "Free State." The wife got hooked by the dried fruit seller: although she spent much more than I would have, I got to cruise around by myself for part of the time. Picked up a few odds & ends, which sometimes are lacking at shows now. I saw quite a few uncommon and/or interesting handguns. The prices didn't seem outrageous: there were a couple venders to do MD transfers. Saw a Mossberg 930 or 935 (semi-auto) for $435 (if I remember correctly). If I still didn't owe on Pillsbury (and if my wife wasn't there....).

Definitely worth the price of admission and a reasonable (hour & a half) drive time. Based on comments in this thread, we sought out Chubby's. From the outside, not necessarily a place I would initially try out (I'm a fast food guy). But, WOW as to the pulled pork & wad of greasy (make that yum-yum) fries. We'll be stopping in again after the next Gettysburg show, f'er sure.

I will be there in the morning. Looking for some Cz82 mags. Otherwise window shopping. Mostly C&Rs. Maybe a few other pistol and rifle mags. Anyone check out the hunter’s gunshow down the road? Worthwhile? I only have about 2hrs or so as I have to be back home for a thing for my kids later in the day.

It was a decent show as these go. All I took home was an L1A1 mag. Had a blast seeing MilsurpDan's new K98k acquisition, meeting Combloc for the first time (hopefully not the last) and some other old friends.
Prices all over the map, some in the realm of delusion, other's pretty much spot on. Best bargain I saw was a mint Finn Carcano with folding bayonet with an asking price of $500. Cheap in IMHO considering that the bayonet and scabbard fetch $250-300 alone when you can find them.
I will say way too many non 2A item vendors. Guess if you brought the wife or GF with you there was something for her if she's not into Schmidt Rubins.

Chubby's is the bomb! Excellent food!

They really need to offer a pulled chicken bbq sandwich. I don't care much for pork unless it's bacon.

However... in the absence of bbq chicken, a 1/2 lb brisket platter will do.

Gun Bunker in Shrewsbury had some 2 weeks back.

Good to know. Any idea if they were actual milsurp? Or new manufacture? They are about an hour drive from my office, so I can take an hour off and make it “within lunch”.

Worse comes to worse I order some stuff and pick it up at the UPS store.

I went to the Hunter's show first. The room was full of venders, with only one or two non-firearms related venders. There was a lack of customers, I thought that it was worth the extra 10 minute drive, even though I only bought one item. One private seller had a Canadian made Colt AR-15 HBar Sporter for sale, but I don't remember the price. There was an FFL dealer there, that was willing to do long gun transfers to Maryland residents. Over all the prices looked fair and the venders were friendly.
The show at the complex did seem to have more venders than the last one, I bought some mags for a good price and may go back up on Sunday.
