Duffy's put an L1A1 for sale on Facebook the other day. Someone on there stated that inch pattern FAL rifles were legal to buy in the state. Can anyone confirm?

There are several threads on this topic.

By strict definition an inch pattern rifle is not a copy of the metric version, as all parts to not interchange.

They MAY have been some rifles designated as FAL, that were inch pattern. If so, that would be a problem.

But MSP's stance has been to leave it up to the dealer to determine if it is legal or not. So if Duffy's is selling it, within the state, then they have determined, to their satisfaction, that it is legal.

FWIW, Duffys does a LOT of sales out of state.

Also, FWIW, the Century L1A1 Inch Pattern and copycats are stated as "Banned" on the MSP website.

    Caveat Emptor.

Was it NFA? Because aren't the NFA/Fun button commie skinny killers (will probably get another infraction for muh racism on that one) still legal?

Even the MSP says that the list is not legally binding.

MANY mistakes. They had several piston ARs as banned.

You wanted to see how close you could fly to the sun, and now you know.

The normally wouldn't have earned you the vacation, but since you're asking for it, here it is.
