I've got a load that works for my rifle and i would like someone with quickload to dbl check the FPS i'm getting. My chronograph is damaged and i'm not sure how much haha.. The point is, in the past, QuickLoad has been within 10FPS of what i was showing on my chronograph so i would like to dbl check the readings now.

the book estimates 3,200 fps and i'm getting about 3,360 fps.

    300 win mag - 24" barrel
    74.0gr IMR 4831
    Magnum Primers

    165gr barnes TTSX bullets
    COAL: 3.45"

PS: i'm going to look into a chronograph that doesn't go in front of the muzzle too...

It must be close. Perhaps 'close enough for government work' is the phrase here. I got a nice printing at 100yards from sitting position so I kicked it out to 512yards using the speeds I got. I need to measure the group at 512y but they all hit the torso, so its deer worthy. I let the barrel cool off for about an hour (24 degrees out today). I took a cold bore shot at the torso and SMACK, right on.

I plan on using this load for deer and groundhogs. When hunting the first shot matters the most.
