WTB-1911 under $600

hi, any IP close to ellicott city have a mid-end 1911? I would like to spend less than $600 for a decent 1911. i'm not looking for junk but realize i'm not getting a high end pistol for that price. 8th day release would also be nice.

the rock island tactical is pretty nice for around that price. I have one and its a good shooter. no problems

This, Lou had some Shooters Arms Militarys for about $450 and I almost pulled the trigger on buying one. I ended up picking up a Ruger SR1911 but the SAMS are a good buy at that price. Here is a link to the manufactures webpage for it http://www.shootersarms.com.ph/firearms_detail.php?id=6.

A lot of people here (50 +/-) bought one of the RIA Tacticals as part of a group buy about 2 years ago. If Lou doesn't have any in stock, I saw a couple in the case at Constitutional Firearms for around $500.

You may want to check out the STI Spartan. It's a very nice gun for the money.

Perhaps now is the time for a new group buy with an engraved message relevant to current MD politics and legislation? I would be in for at least 1 at the right price.

I've only run a couple hundred rounds through it but so far it's been solid and shoots well. My primary 1911 is a Norinco heavily modded with Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick parts. The STI compares very favorably.
