    It depends, rifle semi/vs bolt, pistols, shotguns. I have different cleaning procedures for all of them. Shotgun gets bore snake and a wipe down. Pistols get a brush down the bore, patches, lube, wipe down. Rifles I use Mpro-7, brush, patches, lubed patch, semi auto gets a bolt take down, bolt gun just the bore and a wipe down. Pretty simple. I like Balistol for lubing moving parts and rem oil for a light bore coating, wipe down with silicone rag and call it a day.

    "If" I can't do a complete teardown and cleaning, I'll just rod the bore, wipe the bolt face and then lay sleepless later at night thinking about how dirty it still is.
