WD40 might work. Small test spot first of course.I got a wood stock, just picked it up from the FFL tonight. I'll post pics later.
Anyone know what to use to take tape residue off a wood stock without harming the finish?

Lol, noble offer. I debated a few hours while at work on whether to get one after AB's post, and then they were gone ... poof. Otherwise I would definitely be posting pics.Sell me one I'll post a ton of pictures

A little olive oil and elbow grease took care of it. Shout out to my mother for the idea
It had a bit of freckling towards the muzzle so I hit it with some Ballistol and 0000 steel wool. Overall it's in good shape, way better than I expected.
I wish I had gotten two now
I did alright.
I did alright.
Okay look, if you are really that disappointed in it I’ll be happy to give it a better home for $300.
Someone listed a folder on Gun Broker. Started at 0.99 buy now of 1200.00. Someone hit buy now. Do not know how to post link but auction number was 789915958.
I haven't even tried to disassemble mine. I just went ahead and got the tape off the stock and hit the freckled part of the barrel. Really kicking myself for not getting two of these
Looks awesome, dude!!!
Did the tape removed from the stock have any writing on it? I’ve seen some that had unit numbers written on tape.
And don’t worry, if you got two you’d be mad you didn’t get four. Ask me how I know
What year is it?
