Damn Yankees. Actually a pair of CZ Americans. Top one is a CZ 455 in 22WMR and the bottom is a CZ 452 in 22LR. Hoping to take them out sometime in mid to late April (when there's some daylight in my schedule). Scope is mounted a bit higher on the 452 as I'm evaluating whether a more upright head position works better for me when shooting offhand.

For tonight 25 yards that’s all we had lighting for. We did manage several 3 shot groups with cci standard velocity that were literally one hole.
I expect significantly better with lapua center x and daylight.

Try out Eley Match Biathlon. Out of my 10/22 I get an average velocity of 1121.5 with an SD of 2.8 and they group inside of a dime at 50yds.

These are my latest Henry rimfire acquisitions. Pump in 22 S/L/LR and the camo AR-7. I have owned the black AR-7 for a while now and figured it needed a sibling.

I went to the Frederick show today with a plan to only spend money on the new Tikka Tx1. The show was very very small only one building and maybe 50 vendors at most.

    No Tx1’s

But stumbled across this beauty instead.

Almost 50% below msrp. If I can get a scope setup tonight, it’s going to be 55° tomorrow so maybe I can offer a full range report when I get back.

So how did it shoot? I recently bought one with the Magpul stock. Hates Fed GM Target (which my 10/22 likes!) Loves CCI SV. M-22 and Fed Auto Match cycled well too - but several duds.

Seemed accurate but I was mostly trying to find the brands that cycle well and also practicing prone.

This is my first .22 LR so I’m used to Sub MOA groups with hand loads. I’m just not sure what I should consider as really good with this gun. I don’t have anything to compare to.

That being said I tried 15 different brands. So far CCI SV and CCI Green Tag are pretty decent maybe just over 1 MOA at 50yds. I tried SK Match, RWS Match, Tenex Match and Eley Match they neither performed better consistently than CCI Green Tag. Lapua Match and Laupa Biathlon were better than 1MOA but I still had fliers from time to time.

Overall I still really like the rifle.

The Fed Gold Medal was stovepipe city. Although a new round was chambered, it wouldn’t fire. Racking the bolt wouldn’t extract the round, and two rounds would jam up. I was hugely disappointed that I was having the same issues I had with the Ruger 10/22, but CCI SV cycled perfectly!
I’d be happy with 2 MOA for Appleseed shooting. I haven’t bench tested it yet to see what it really can do. I probably only have 500 rounds through it yet.
