Now if only I could get my RP in-laws to do their fingerprints so the Form 4 could be sent. That SilencerShop Single Shot Trust is really tempting right now.

If you can't get them to do it, amend the trust to remove them as RPs. Then submit the Form 4, and re-amend the trust later to add them back in.

That is an option but its really convient to leave items with them from time to time since we shoot on their property. If i remove them I'd have to wait until transfer is approved to add them back.

    No, you wouldn't.

All that ATF cares about is who the RPs are when you submit the application (i.e. the Form 1 or Form 4) to them.

    ATF 41F FAQ PDF
    https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/docs/general41fquestionsandanswersupdated-6-28-16pdf/download
Q: Will new responsible persons, added after the making or transfer, be subject to the same requirements?
A: Once an application has been approved, no documentation is required to be submitted to ATF when a new responsible person is added to a trust or legal entity. However, should a responsible person change after the application has been submitted, but before it is approved, the applicant or transferee must contact the NFA Branch for guidance.

Now details are limited given they haven't completed a post 41F application AFAIK but I'm going to assume they are going to want prints, photo, and RP questionnaire for new RPs.

The ATF can say "you have to contact us for guidance" all that they want, but there's bupkus they can do about it. They have ZERO say in interpreting the trust laws of the state where you live.

Is this a loop hole or what?
I can submit a trust with only me (fingerprints, photo, background check)
After approval, I can amend trust to include whoever I want as RP (no fingerprint, photo, background check)

Mailed my checks in December. They were cashed on 12/15/16.

Guess what I got in the mail from the BATF yesterday?

My C&R renewal paperwork. Fooled ya, didn't I?

Boy was I hoping for a miracle. Oh well. Just another 4-5 months I'm sure.

They've been on beginning of May F4 subs for over a month now.
I need my June 1 F4 now, please.

Of course, when I get it, as usual it will be very anti-climatic. Done, next.

    Silencerco Spectre II:
    Bought: 5/17
    Check Cashed: 6/1
    Approved: 2/21
    Received: 3/6

They must like you more. I did submit 2 at the same time though if that makes any difference. Omega and a Spectre II.

    Submitted 5/19
    Check Cashed 6/1
Approved ~3/14( I called ATF today)
They said to expect 7-10 business days to pick it up.
