    I dont remember which one I used but it made a big difference. Non-sleeve model. I recall looking up the correct one on a Savage forum and then the limbsaver website

    I used the recommended Limbsaver model and it's just a little too small. There is just enough variances in the wood stocks to make this difficult.

    I think the best bet is to get a butt pad that you have to sand down to fit. To do it right, one has to get the angle of the pas to match the angle of the stock.
    I probably should have a smith do it for me.
