I haven't converted it yet, because, I need to find a shop that can do duracoat and the mods that I want done. It will more then likely be going in in the spring for an AR 15 grip conversion and quick release magwell, as well as getting the barrel cut down to 18 inches (for now) and the trigger group moved forward. I will be getting a slant brake for it to replace the birdcage. Its just in an intermediary state, but i didn't want to leave it in the the sporter configuration. I just wanted to clear up as to why its still in an unconverted state.
1965 Sauer "Royal Grade" in 16-ga
The Old Man gave me this one several years ago after he tired of it (he tired of it when I told him the trigger guard was plastic, not horn like he thought). Great gun, except for the fact that the plastic trigger guard is broken.... I've often wondered WTF a relatively high quality shotgun like this would have a plastic trigger guard - wacky Germans. If anyone knows where I can get a replacement, I be much obliged
LOL.. I hope you didnt take it personally! My thought is people buy these TO convert them to their natural form. Just giving you guys a hard time....
