My wife and I need fingerprints done for our Florida non-resident Carry Permits. They have to be done by a law enforcement agency.

Has anyone had theirs done at the Glen Burnie or Annapolis MVA by the Maryland State Police?

Does anyone know of any law enforcement agencies nearby that will do it?

It's weird because my brother and i had them done in Glen Burnie MVA and his got held up because they did not like the place (non-police) and my permit was issued his was delay a couple months at least .

I am not aware of an acceptable location in GB. Sorry

The MSP did them at the MVA and they held it up? That sucks.

make sure they put the agency name address on the back side of the card in the upper right hand corner.

that could be a souce of delay.

I have decided to use the Laurel P.D. since Columbia isn't far away.

I have a bunch of shit to return to REI because they are assholes and I won't use them anymore.

    Laurel PD for Prints
REI to return a bunch of stuff (because they suck)
Walgreens or CVS for Passport Photos
Post Office to mail off Renewal Packages.

It's for renewal? Do you travel to FL regularly? I do, and I just get my prints done, by the local sheriff when I am down there.

Hmmm, has to be law enforcement? I had my prints (along with training) at Worth-A-Shot. There was an option to add Florida to the Utah training including a range session (not needed for Utah) and a second set of ink card prints plus second passport photo for $100.

You got lucky. FL has only accepted L.E. Agency Prints for as long as I can recall.

They are not authorized to do FL Cards.

Unfortunately, electronic fingerprint scans can only be done in Florida.

Out of state requires either rolled ink or scans printed on the cards

I don't know about the other few MVA offices that offer fingerprinting but the Bel Air MVA just has a little office by the public bathrooms that a regular MVA employee does fingerprints all day in.

You call some number associated with the Maryland Department of Public Safety and tell them which MVA you want to schedule fingerprints and they tell you dates/times.

You evidently don't need an appointment though, some guy was there waiting and I got bumped ahead of him as he was just a walk in and I had an appointment.

Actually the person doing prints is NOT an MVA employee, they are an MSP employee.

So the prints are from a law enforcement agency.
