Such a bull shit story. Arrested him for “having a shotgun “?????
An “arsenal” (of 3 guns)????
Trespassing...yes.
“Reckless endangerment”... maybe (depends on local law).
Strange/unusual behavior? Yup.
Another hit job by the media? YES!

There is a lot missing from that story.

1. He was charged with possession of a shotgun. Is he a felon?
2. I didn't see the trespassing charge, but it insinuated he was on public land.
3. The authors descriptions are terrible.
4. Who cares if he was a hermit who avoided people.
5. This is what the press has become.

Here is what looks like the original story.
It was an unregistered short barrel shotgun.

So? He's a hermit with a shotgun? Trespassing, maybe. Reckless endangerment, maybe. Short barrel shotgun - who cares?

Funny, they didn't mention the high-capacity toolbox.

Looks like sks mags, but no sks (or similar). ? the rest, aside from NFA, doesn’t look bad. Not like that single shot is a big thing or the cut stock ?22?

Like the way they list the precious offenses. Running multiple dogs while on a bike?

Maybe a little odd by some standards, but ...

I think I've had a more impressive "arsenal" in the main cabin of my BayLiner. Better emergency rations, too.

The .22lr rifle is probably over 26in OAL , and therefor legal . The SKS is missing . But absent a Tax Stamp that SBS is the big no- no . That , and his admission of shooting in implied inappropriate area .
