Again, while doing some searching for a source of SMLE furniture I found Fox Military in Europe. They list an amazing number of reproduction stocks for Berthier, Lebel, Berdan, Mosin Nagant, G41, G43, G98/40(!), DSM34 (yay, there are so many of these in bubba'd stocks), SVT40. Sadly no Enfield.
You have to register to see prices but I was surprised that they aren't outrageous ($290 for the DSM 34 stock in the photo). They also offer SN and other stamping which for me is a potential problem if they're presented as original. But I'm just pleased to see a source for restoring damaged or defaced furniture. Wish I had this available to me years ago when I ran across a rare German 98/40 that had been hacked. It was selling cheap and would have made a nice candidate for restoration.

Thanks for reminding me about this guy. I’ve seen his site before but I think he’s greatly expanded his selection over the past couple years.

Too bad he doesn’t have SMLE stocks. I have a fore-end that I badly need to replace on my No. I Mk. III.

Yeah, the SMLE fore stock isn't the easiest to produce. And even then usually needs to be hand fitted to the action. But the source of original stocks has dried up to a large degree. Prices on them have skyrocketed. These days I would think twice before taking on a restoration of a No1, stick to the No4 as wood for them is still available and affordable.
