I can't imagine you need such a large hook for those, what 2 -3 pound fish?? Why use a circle hook - you gonna throw 'em back?
I'd use 4 or 2 and not snelled, the loop will interfere with presentation. Just tie on a #2 with a Palomar knot or Improved clinch and what, do you use a 3-way rig?
And not those bass #2's, just an Eagle Claw #2. And if they have small mouths, go to a #4.
Where are you fishing - boat - jetty - pier?

What's with the circle hooks? We use those on Marlin, stuff we throw back.

I tried the sand fleas on a double bottom rig yesterday. 4 ounce weight was getting shuffled around like it was nothing so I switched to 6.

    No takers unfortunately...

1/0 or 2/0 circle hooks? Or go wirh long shank shnelled hooks?

This is what I use. The long shank makes them much easier to take off the hook. They have little mouths too...not sure that larger hooks would work well.
