    Nice shooting...impressive with irons. I love iron sights...my eyes are getting fussy, though.

    FWIW, the Ruger has a more slender Maryland accepted HBAR barrel. Something to consider when purchasing a carbine length AR. I have been tempted to purchase on for that reason alone (plus I do like Rugers) but I have a couple too many AR's now.

    Thank you.
    That was several years ago, before my right eye got badly scratched.

    Now, it seems like I need "Coke Bottle Bottoms" for lenses, or a scope, to shoot rifles.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yesterday, when I was young......

    The "post-Klinton-ban" AR in the same configuration (without flash suppressor) is just as accurate.

    Actually what I heard back in the day was, the non-flash suppressor ones were more accurate. Less buffeting from the gases bouncing off the flash suppressor.

    Always thought it was funny, the ban made the rifle MORE accurate. :D

    The army Marksmenship Unit has no problems shooting with flash suppressors. Don't believe everything you read

    I can't say they're more accurate, but, I can attest that they are "as accurate".

    When I ran the High Power Rifle Program at SCSC, the son of one of the regular shooters, used my rifle a couple of times, then bought one for himself.

    His was the Colt "Sporter Match Target HBAR" model (if memory serves me) and had the crowned barrel instead of the flash suppressor.

    Using my ammo, he shot some VERY tight groups off of sandbags at 100 yards.

    These ARs are really darned accurate, right out of the box.
    That's one reason why I'll never sell mine.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:
