this could be doable...anything crazy I need to know or just show up and shoot?

It will be great to see you there, Steve.

It's a VERY easy match format, intending to be welcoming to new shooters -- so will be a piece of cake for you.

Bring a pistol and a rifle (we usually have loaner guns if needed) and ~300+ rounds of 22LR.

I'll probably be posting the planned stages tomorrow or Thursday. Again, these are simple compared to IDPA or USPSA. They are all steel, shot from a static position and designed to be completed with 11 rounds or less.

    Proposed CoF for this Sunday

    See attached.

The CoF can always change at the last minute, but these are the stages that we plan-on as of today.

    Suspense is over....

Today's match-report puts the lie to the old saying that "Old age and treachery beats youth and skill every time."

Today, Jake Swierczek's youth and skill took the match.
Mark Swierczek (Jake's Dad) made the honors podium a family-affair, and also showed that old-age and treachery is not a completely hopeless combination.:lol2:
Jesse did well in 3rd place overall -- perhaps if he would get rid of that distracting camera-thingie on his head then he might do a bit better;)

We had a record turn-out today, and welcomed a number of new shooters.

Congratulations to all of the participants It was a fun match.

    John

P.S. The Octagon-barrelled Henry Lever-Action prize-gun was awarded today. Doug Yeo took the gun after Travis Thomas drew his ticket. Congrats, Doug. JWM
