    Because I carry in CT?

Sometimes having a permit isn't about reciprocity.

CT does not honor any other states' permit.

Want to carry in CT? I do.

    Get a CT permit.

You must take a 16 hour class plus DC law and have a permit from some other state. The cost of this training varies by training agency.

You can do this before you apply or after your conditional approval upon which you will have 45 days to complete the training.

When you go down to MPD this will be your cost:

The $13 for your first firearm registration is waived when you pay for the carry permit.

What’s that about having to have a permit from another state?

    I’m confused (again )
For a Non Resident DC CCW you need a permit from another state?

Yes. Any non resident permit you have will qualify you to get a DC permit. DC is kind of like Florida, they don't issue non resident permits, they issue permits to non residents.

Ideally you would use you MD permit but......

It's a little unusual, but not unprecedented. Maine has the same requirements and I believe CT does as well.

And PA won't issue a NR permit to MD residents if they don't have their MD permit first.

For the gun registration form, the sellers info doesn't need to be filled out, correct?

No idea. I just put the model number down again. As usual, no instructions on what they want

Perhaps some manufacturers have 2 different numbers.

I know Glock and HK don’t

Here are the areas being discussed. If you own the firearm already only the circled part gets filled out.

Regarding the $110 fee, a prior post said they don't allow personal checks.

So do they accept cash or credit card? What's best way to pay? I'd hate to drive 2 hrs to find I can't pay properly.
