In another thread, Jaybeeze posted a link to the March 16, 1972 WaPo article about MGA passage of Gov Mandel's Bill that we now know as 4-203 .

In the fine print it list the votes of individual Delegates by county. Del Thomas V Miller voted against .

Wow, that was before he could streamroll his re-election in perpetuity through gerrymandering. Amazing how you vote when you actually have to answer to your constituents.

Gun control and anti 2A legislation in Maryland used ti be a fight between pro 2A dems and anti 2A dems. There were not enough republicans to even matter in the equation. 6 republicans total in the legislatute by the emd of the 1980s.

Somewhere along the line, the progressive anti 2A radical left took over the party, and old timer moderate democrats and classicial liberals went along with it to keep their jobs.

We still have blue dog dems in the legislature, but their vite how they are told, so it doesnt really matter how they think, because they betray themselves.

This reality is one of the things that my friends and i disagree on. I say we shame the moderates that betray our freedoms, my friends think we should kiss their asses (because maybe one day they wont betray us again).

Hell even stent was a decent guy, until he wasn't. Power and it's corruption rears its head eventually.
