Just getting around to posting these 2 Husqvarna 43’s I finished last fall. Both in 9.3x57. One from 1937 and the second from 1939. Both had great blueing, rough bores that cleaned up nicely, and average stocks. I sent the bolts out to a guy in Texas for forging and polishing. The receivers were drilled and tapped locally by Badger Gun Works and I put in 2-7 Leupolds. I shortened the barrel on the one that had the kill tacs to make a nice little brush gun. Happily added a tac to it last season after opening day. Both shoot 1”-1.5” at 100.

    Beauties!
They've got nice wood on them and so slim! The Swedes were really into kill notches and tacks.
I picked up several back when SARCO was still in NJ for less than $100 each. One was beautiful and lives in the safe. One was D&T'd with a nice bore and I've hunted with it. A couple had pitted chambers. shortened stocks, ground bolt handles and other Bubba Sven smithing on them. Those two became donors.
232 Norma Vulcans hit a deer hard. Never saw a black bear when I carried it, but that's what I was hoping for.
