McConnell should use the Nuke Option for SCOTUS nominees. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
Schumer: I'll 'absolutely' work to keep Supreme Court vacancy open.

Pathetic, and completely Unamerican... pure political hate.
Couldn't the same be said of Republicans who wouldn't put Garland to a vote?
-John
With Garland, IIRC the issue was timing and proximity to the Presidential election. Just as the Dems have done to Republicans, except that the rules are always different when it's the Dems.

Hey, I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here... personally, I want the bench to lean right enough that someone buys them a V8.
This stuff goes back and forth politically, depending on who has control of the gov't at the time. 8 years ago we all b**ched about Obama, and now they're b**ching about Trump.
The big difference is the violence and up-in-arms the Lefties are pulling. *We* (that is, Republicans), never got that violent, IIRC. It was more about making sure O didn't screw up the country completely.

I don't know if he can, but regardless, McConnell and the Republican poltroons are nothing more than gutless cowards who are only interested in getting re-elected and keeping their power.I'm sure he would IF he could but can he do that on a SC issue? Can the majority in congress do it by changing the law with a simple majority?

What we have now by and large. But worrying about getting elected and re-elected is what makes representative democracy function. When the GOV stops caring entirely about what the voters want, that's called "dictatorship".
Many of the problems we have now are a result of short attention spans, apathy, and lack of analytical thought on the part of the voting public. Politicians are reflections of their constituencies.

Nope, "Biden Rule".
That's the nicest description of a flaming sack ...with a wet bottom that I've heard in a long time.People have forgotten how much of a vacuous, insidious a-hole Biden was as a senator. He's a blend of John Kerry's intelligence and Harry Reid's mean-spiritedness.
