gunsmith for FSB installation?

    I have an AR upper that came with a low profile gas block and want to have a A2 style FSB installed in its place. It's looking like barrel will have be notched, etc.

    Can anyone recommend a gunsmith near MoCo/HoCo that can perform this work? I already tried Atlantic Guns in SS and they can't do it.

    I wouldn't do one without Jig, Drill Press, Cutting Oil, Carbide Bits, and Taper Pin reamer.

    Most gun shops can't get a factory FSB off without beating something to hell. Use a gunsmith, if you can't find d a local one use adco machining and mail it off. It will be back in 2 weeks.

    Hearing that, makes me feel better about that 1 time I tried getting one off myself. Stopped before any real damage occured, said F It, it can stay there.

    Sound advice, unless you are somewhat of a machinist and have a jig.

    FWIW I have removed and reinstalled factory FSB's, you need a little art, a little science and no fear! lol
