    ....I divided the number of "gun murders" by each countries current population and got these numbers:

    Spain: 1.27
    Australia: 1.54
    Germany: 2.37
    USA: 3.04
    Finland: 3.15
    Canada: 5.79
    England: 6.96

    Am I missing something basic?

    The most basic thing you missed is quoting your source for the population figures. I do not doubt your facts, but if they are verifiable, they are irrefutable.

    There are much too many posters on the internet with 'facts'. I tend to doubt just about every one of them.

    We must be absolutely ironclad in our defense of our Constitutional rights.
