I saw this. Is it as good as the Ruger LCP?

Doubtful. Very, very, doubtful. I spend half my life in gun shops for work. (Well at least I used to, changing jobs in January) I would never buy much of anything from a Freedom Group company. Just my .02 from what I've seen.

My choice for a small SD pistol would be a Glock (any), an SR9C, an LC9, or a Taurus Gen 2 Millennium (say what you want, it's a nice reliable pistol, I've shot the hell out of them).

    Just my .02.

Yes, but the Glock, an SR9C, an LC9, or a Taurus Gen 2 Millennium aren't $99

There's one pouting in the corner because it hasn't been to the range yet. With the $100 Remington rebate, I couldn't resist. Fits my hand nicely with the mag extension. There's plenty of space between the spur, the slide, and the meatbag ... which is nice for something this small. The slide return spring is surprisingly light, which should make this less-intimidating to new shooters.

It's definitely right-hand-only, in spite of the ambi mag release. The slide holds-open when the mag is empty, but there's not enough purchase on the slide stop to drop the slide with your thumb.

Fit and finish is nice. The DA trigger is long, but moves pretty smoothly. No external safety (compensated by a fairly heavy trigger pull.)

Will poke some holes in paper and let y'all know.

I've had mine a week and shot it a bunch.
Accuracy is OK, the long trigger pull and double action only has to be compensated for, but fine for a cheap "point and shoot" gun.
Sights are tiny and hard to see against a dark target, so a little white fingernail polish improved sight visibility.

The Daughter has asked me to stop stealing her nail polish. (It's a good substitute for red glyptal, though the glitter probably reduces its electrical voltage rating.)

I contacted Gym Ratz about this gun yesterday to see if he could come close to the price. He said he could do it for $175 however they are out of stock.

Holy chit after the rebate it would be $75. I think I would even roll the dice at that price if they were local.
