Wait, someone taught Koko the gorilla 300 words in sign language. Does that mean she has human rights?

training isn't going to prevent someone from being an idiot. you can fix ignorant, but you can't fix stupid.

the government should never mandate a citizen do anything. And it especially should never mandate anyhting prior to allowing you to excersize a right. Fundamentally ALL LICENSING is anti freedom. driver's license, contracting license, license to carry a firearm, license to operate a business, license to sell real estate, license to cut other peoples hair. license to sell hot dogs out of a cart on the street. ALL of that is tyranny, and honestly needs to be done away with.

should one train with a firearm? absolutely. going to the gun range with some moron counter clerk giving you a pistol and box of ammo and a couple of magazines with 0 instruction shouldn't be legal, but they will damn sure be held accountable if/when a new to firearms person makes a mistake.

I just can't for the life of me understand why so many people hate freedom and wish upon the world more tyranny.

should there be a license for... ? NO
should you require a permit for...? NO
should you require another law ...? NO
should the government mandate a citizen engage in any activity? NO
    should the government fund....? NO

it doesn't matter what it is... the default answer should be no. a yes is an increase of tyranny. mandatory training.... LOL good joke.

and training ain't going to stop most firearm accidents or ND injuries. if someone lacks the common sense to keep a loaded gun loose in the bottom of a bag, on the floor of their car, a state mandated safety training course sure as hell ain't gonna stop that moron from doing it afterwords, cuz either A) are scatterbrained, B) are already complacent, or C) just won't care.... or finally D they just won't buy a gun. which is the desired effect of the well "you need to have a licence AND manditory training, AND a background check, AND a mental health check AND a safe storage requirement, AND a letter from a LEO who inspected said storage requirement....ASOASF" crowd.

freedom all the time. F tyranny

Zman sez this>>~~~ "...and training ain't going to stop most firearm accidents or ND injuries [how would you know?]. if someone lacks the common sense to keep a loaded gun loose in the bottom of a bag, on the floor of their car, a state mandated safety training course sure as hell ain't gonna stop that moron from doing it afterwords, cuz either A) are scatterbrained, B) are already complacent, or C) just won't care.... or finally D they just won't buy a gun. [for real?which is the desired effect of the well "you need to have a licence AND manditory training, AND a background check, AND a mental health check AND a safe storage requirement".<<~~if folks here are of this mentality, well, there ya go. seems lotsa folks are of this mentality, or its just the bullies spouting off. as has been demonstrated before--pure effing logic, i say, logical indeed.

fundamental right: a right to silence until an attorney is present. so um. :smoke: are maranda rights MANDATORY? AND, does the cop have to read those rights by mandate? meaning he/she is mandatorily educating the felon of his rights? i love this! :lol2:

:smoke: so lets think of George Zimmerman for a minute...

this was only twenty seconds in thinking.

but lets think for a logical moment. he attended minimal training course in the law of self defense. was chubby, a mamma's boy, not too fit and definitely a coward in the societal sense. yet he, on that fateful night, decided to follow a very big "suspected person" in a shadowy area of the complex. hmm, me thinks if he didn't have a gun, he would have never gotten outa his car, and there's the rub.
