Had a great afternoon with the fly rod at Loch Raven! Pickerel, Bass, Crappie, and a Big Bluegill!

We used to get stringers full of good size crappie there in a few hours. I am talking about the early 80's. Great fun on an ultra light rod with 2 lb test....

Even more fun with a fly rod! I got a couple of nice ones, probably would have hit some more if I waited til more sun went down. Just nice to be out today!

First went fishing there in the 60's. Life got in the way for a dozen years and took my son there in 1986. I couldn't believe the volume of trash. That ruined it for me.

I saw that too and realized I could complain about or bring a trash bag next time I go. I always see teenagers trying to improve their environment by picking up trash and thought, wow....I could do that too!

I crossed the Dulaney Valley Rd bridge today and there were at least a dozen full garbage bags stacked on the side of the road. Somebody is cleaning up.

I live in a community with a private waterfront in AA Co. No one respects trespassing laws. If I could crawl through the briars, I could collect a garbage can full of water, booze and beer bottles, Mcdonalds boxes, shoes, pants, undies, rubbers every week.

Was out there yesterday and today with my brother. Caught a bunch of little bass and pike yesterday. Today caught a nice 5lb bass and a good sized chain pickerel, and a bunch of bluegills.
