My wife gave me this a little early for Christmas. I guess she could not wait. It is an Omega Moonphase watch. I threw in the peacemaker to make it gun related. LOL

Sorry guys, I just realized that I had two finely crafted Omega machines.

    Took another picture.

So my citizen watch band broke and I'm using that as an excuse to get a new watch (black band is scuffed aka silver showing through and bezel is scratch a good bit). I'm looking for something $500 and under, I can justify spending that much on a watch.

Are Luminox watches worth the money? I'd like a metal watch band and likely a black face. The other watch that peaked my interest is the Tissot PRC.

    Any other suggestions?

Spend some time on another forum, watchuseek.
It's pretty typical for someone to start a WRUW (what are you wearing) thread. I use those for inspiration when i'm not sure what I want.

Otherwise, need more details on what exactly you're looking for aside from the price (which offers lots of options).
If I was looking, I would point out details like watch type: diver/flyer/dressy, etc. Along with diameter (i like 40-43mm).
And then you can get into more stuff like date/no date, sword hands, depth rating, etc.

Lots of choices. I think gearpatrol does a few (best under $500) type articles. Along with askmen.

Good luck! The hunt is half the fun!

I wasn't impressed with my Luminox. I'd check out Seiko. You can get a great one under $500.
