It says model number but the SKU is what's listed.
It has a different SKU than the regular 10 round M&P9 M2.0 and can’t be purchased until it shows up on the list with the other model numbers. It appears (if I’m understanding their document correctly) to have been recently reviewed by the review board and should be appearing on the list in the next couple of months.

The Roster Board lists acceptable firearms by Manufacturer, Model and Caliber not SKU.

Correct, however S&W lists it as SKU on their site which is what I based my wording on. It's a model number everywhere else but I'm guessing S&W uses SKU on their site since some of their products have model in their name. If OP wanted to look up an item on the roster from S&W they would want to use the S&W "SKU" to verify a given model is on the list.

    FYI -

    Basic Federal law:

Any firearm transfer between residents of two different states, must go through a Federal Firearm License (FFL) holder. The transaction must be legal in both the state where the FFL is located and the state of residence of the buyer.

Any handgun transfer between two states must go through an FFL in the buyer's state of residence. This is where the 77r comes into play, the handgun has to be shipped to a dealer in Maryland, and they will handle the MD transfer paperwork. If it is transfer between two individuals in MD, you can either use a dealer, or the two people can do the paperwork and work directly through a convenient MD State Police Barracks.

You have to be present at the FFL to get the firearm. They cannot do it over the phone/internet and mail it to you.

Grabagun I brought up the different SKU with the FFL and according to him he said the kit doesn't matter as long as the gun is the same they'll transfer it. In light of what I'm learning from here I'm going to call back and speak with the owner to make sure they will transfer it. Because if I wait till when it's on the list I'm sure the price will be higher I think it may be a Christmas deal

If you really want this model and think the pricing won't last, first identify a local FFL that agrees to take the transfer for you. The FFL may want to ensure you have an HQL if they haven't handled handgun transfers for you in the past. Second, order from Grabagun. There's a place where they will ask for your FFL's shipping address during the ordering process. They might even need your FFL to email or fax their FFL information (if they haven't dealt with your FFL before) - this can be done after you complete online payment and is a critical step. Once they have received both payment and the FFL information, they will ship the gun to your FFL. If your handgun isn't on the MD handgun roster but is pending review, your FFL will wait to transfer until it is approved. Other than the frustrating delay (as the chance of rejection is small if similar models have been approved), this is no big deal, especially as you will have gotten it for a good price should the sale end.

Please note, for some FFLs that sell the same gun in their store (assuming it's already MD approved), they might opt out of handling the transfer. This being said, Grabagun often has excellent sales and I've never been disappointed with a purchase from them. It sometimes might take 5-7 days before they ship an item depending on how busy they are.

I'm now waiting my 7 days, the purchase from grabagun went well, super quick counting the day of purchase 3 days total. The folks at United are doing the transfer. $526 total for an m&p9 2.0 range kit.

You seem like a good guy.

I, and a lot of others have requested you post up in the Introductions thread.

    Hopefully, you will.

Can you share where you're looking to buy from? I'm planning on picking up another M&P9 M2.0 and was looking at the range kit. My local shop would be $615 after MDSP fee so once it's added to the list if I might as well save some money on it.
So the gun itself is the only thing that mattered for the transfer, so you don't have to wait for the SKU to get on the list.

I was not disapproved on time, or at least by the day the dealer told me at the beginning. The app was sent in on the Dec 27th, and I was approved by email Jan 4th at 6 a.m. on the DOT. Not counting Sunday it was eight days. Counting Sunday and New year's it was nine days. Now in between that time I was placed on hold, and transferred to a special investigator. The email I received said there was a problem with my background and that would have to call the holds investigator, which could speed up the process. So I jumped on that quickly. I was able to help him help me clear this on time. He was a super nice and helpful guy I appreciate his willingness to take care of this as quickly as possible.
+ The approval date on the portal is 1/3/19 + the hold was placed on New year's day

So here it is, one thing I notice about the magazine that it doesn't appear to come apart, I like the standard ones.

The ten round mags I got for my M&P looked like that and the lower extension slid off. There was a small latch in the gap between the extension and the mag that you had to depress with a jewlers screwdriver to get the extension to slide off.

I recently ordered aS&W M&P shield online. It’s not the 2.0 so I got a great price at $249 + $17 shipping + $45 FFL transfer fees. $310 for a new gun in hand and I don’t think you can find the older models in store, at least new, which this is.

I was honestly just looking for something cheap to test my revamped HQL. My initial 77r was disapproved even though my HQL was issued less than a month prior. I had to literally go to the firearms division and talk to someone, get a direct contact, email some documents, then talk to someone again before it has been supposedly fixed. Luckily I live very close to the licensing division so it wasn’t terribly inconvenient, though it was harder than it should’ve been.

Hoping for a not disapproval on Monday, but the FFL received the pistol without issue. Will update once I have news.

I sent off for designated collector status, so if all goes well, next purchase is a lower receiver so I can start my AR build. Then the sky is the limit, at least of my bank account or credit card.

    So here it is ...

Excellent! I remember when I took delivery of my first pistol, which was a Beretta 92FS. It's still my favorite 9mm, even though it has several friends next to it that shoot the same cartridge.

Take good care of it, and it will serve you for many years to come.
